Abstract

1470663 Coating metal tubes PLASTIC COATINGS Ltd 18 July 1974 [22 May 1974] 22218/75 Divided out of 1470662 Heading B2E A metal tube is coated by applying an adhesive comprising an epoxy resin, an epoxy hardener and an acrylic resin, bonding the adhesive to the tube by a first heat treatment cooling, crimping the ends of the tube, reheating by induction heating and applying a coating of powder to the pre-heated tube thereby curing and bonding the coating to the adhesive. The cooling may be effected by quenching in water.
