Abstract

1469965 Water closet ITT INDUSTRIES INC 28 March 1974 [4 April 1973] 13735/74 Heading E1C A toilet having a discharge valve 26 and a flush-water inlet valve 30 includes a casing for the bowl 16 comprising an upper part 90 releasably secured to the lower part 92 by means accessible from outside the casing. The means comprises a screw 126 engaged in a vertical, downwardly open boss 120 on the lower part 92 and ribs 130 on the lower part engaging in recesses 134 in the upper part. The bowl 16 is screwed to upstanding bosses 172 on the floor 146 of the lower part 92. The lower part is bolted to a floor support 161 surrounding a soil pipe 28. An overflow 52 from the flush rim is connected via an S-bend to an inlet 54 to the casing 24 of the discharge valve. The flush water supply pipe includes a vacuum breaker valve 40. The discharge valve and inlet valve operating mechanism is as claimed in Specification 1462110. For Figure see next column
