Abstract

1468637 Ear protectors MINE SAFETY APPLIANCES CO 27 March 1975 ,[26 June 1974] 13049/75 Heading A3V Ear protectors 23 are mounted on spring arms 17 releasably held on a safety cap encircling band 2 by a supporting bracket 5. The apertured end of an arm is mounted on a circular hollow flange 11 of the bracket and held by a lug 18. The arm is released by aligning a notch 19 therein with the lug. The thickness and width of the arms tapers towards the lower end. A bolt, projecting through the flange 11, a nut 14 and resilient washer 15 hold a face mask 13 against the flange. The brackets and band are supported on the brim of the cap by hooks 9. The bracket is retained on the band by ribs 7.
