A hose clamp comprises a band 1 bent into a ring and having upturned edge portions 8 to prevent the band from cutting into a hose when the clamp is tightened on to the hose, a nut 3, pivoted between flat ear portions 2 protruding from the upturned edge portions 8 of one end of the band, having bevelled exterior portions 9 allowing the upturned edge portions 8 of the other end of the band to pass between the ears and the nut, and a set screw 5 screwed into the nut, the end 6 of the screw being supported against the other end of the band.
