945,756. Visors. STADIUM Ltd. Sept. 14, 1962 [June 14, 1961], No. 21508/61. Heading A3V. [Also in Division G2] A visor comprises an anchorage band 2 to both sides of which a screen 12 is pivotally mounted via a flexible plate 10, the two plates being substantially parallel. In the embodiment shown, band 2 has turned over ends 8 and each plate 10 is pivoted between an end 8 and the main part of the band by means of a screw 14, nut 16 and washers 18, 20, 22. Projections 24 on the plate engage washer 20, (the other washers being fixed to parts 2, 8), which therefore rotates with the screen and produces a stiff rotation. A projection 26 on the plate prevents the screen from moving too far down when it engages on band 2. The strip 2 which is lined with foam rubber 6 is either fixed to the wearer's head or helmet by means of a strap 4 or has a U-shaped cross-section so that it can engage the peak of a hat. The screen may be opaque or transparent.
