1468435 Tamper-proof nuts L C HAKER 28 May 1974 23641/74 Heading F2H [Also in Division B3] A security nut 12 for securing a vehicle wheel 11 comprises an end face with at least two axially extending bores 15, 16 or pins which are angularly spaced about the nut axis by an angle near but not equal to 180 degrees, the bores or pins being of different diameters, the nut being turnable by a complementary wrench 18 having a corresponding arrangement of pins 20, 21 or axial bores to drivingly engage the nut. When the nut has been installed on a wheel stud 10, its end face and the projecting end of the stud are covered by a cap nut (23) (Fig. 2, not shown).
