Abstract
1467055 Protective arrangement INDESIT INDUSTRIA ELETTRODOMESTICI ITALIANA SpA 22 Feb 1974 [23 Feb 1973] 8257/74 Heading H2K A protection circuit preventing overload of a power supply line comprises a thyristor D911 in the line controlled by pulses from a transistor TR905 to conduct, there being a sensor feeding information representing load conditions via line C to a silicon controlled switch TR907 which when overload conditions prevail blocks transistor TR905 to stop the pulses and turn off thyristor D911 to switch off the line, wherein a capacitor C923 in a resistor-capacitor timing network R933, C923 charges and switches transistor TR905 to conduct again after a predetermined time which if the overload has ended causes thyristor D911 to conduct again, but if the overload persists is prevented by thyristor TR907 from causing the thyristor D911 to conduct, the cycle repeating during prolonged overload for a set number of times until a capacitor C926 of a longer time constant timing circuit R924, R939, C926 has become charged to a value above the Zener voltage of a Zener diode causing transistor TR908 to saturate and permanently block transistor TR906 which causes thyristor D911 to remain off until manual intervention resets the circuit.
