Abstract

1466014 Ventilators HOGANAS AB 9 April 1975 [11 April 1974] 14496/75 Heading F4V [Also in Division A5] A ventilation device in an opening 13 of a smoke exhaust cover 11 pivotally fitted in a casement 10 comprises a lid 14 of larger cross-section than the opening, which lid has a downwardly directed peripheral flange 19, 19a co-operating with an upstanding flange (20) on the cover and is openable as by swingable links 21 with a displacement of the lid parallel to the plane of the cover. The links 21 may be replaced by scissortype links or screw devices, and the lid has a sufficient extension in the direction of displacement to cover up the area surrounded by the flange. The lid may be of thermally insulating material 16 having an upper plate 17 and external sheathing 18 which is peripherally folded to form the downwardly flange 19, 19a. In an alternative embodiment the insulation 16, plate 17 and sheathing 18 may be replaced by glass. The smoke exhaust and ventilation device is adapted to be mounted in the roof of a building.
