The moulds are then supplied one or more times with additional wax to fill the hollow 4. A wick 3 is threaded through each mould from a roll 13 and passes through a seal 12 in a hollow plunger 11 which pushes the candle from the mould whereupon it is clamped by means 2 which is raised to draw the wick through the seal ready for the next casting operation.
