Abstract

1463610 Magnesium alloy MAGNESIUM ELEKTRON Ltd 14 Jan 1976 01364/76 Heading C7A A magnesium alloy suitable for aerospacial usage with satisfactory properties up to 250‹C comprises:- Mg Bal with Fe and other impurities. To obtain optimum properties the alloy is solution treated at 485‹C or above, quenched and aged at 100-275‹C. In the case of materials containing 0À1% or more Cu, a solution treatment at 465‹C is used prior to the 485‹C treatment to avoid "burning".
