Abstract

1462904 Conditioning grain BUHLERMIAG GmbH 21 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 27771/74 Heading A2Q Cereal grain, e.g. malted barley, is conditioned prior to milling by depositing it on a perforated vibrating conveyor in a conditioning chamber and wetting it. A suitable apparatus comprises vibrating conveyor 9 and hot water sprays 11-13. Valve 20 controls the depth of grain on the conveyor. Grain discharged from the conveyor is fed directly into wet milling apparatus 22.
