Abstract

1461461 Heat exchange tube supports BASF AG 8 March 1974 [10 March 1973] 10417/74 Heading F4S [Also in Division B1] A heat exchanger or desublimer comprises a housing 1 containing a plurality of superimposed rows of finned tubes 8, the tubes being connected in pairs and supported one above another by perforated box-like elements or sliders 12 surrounding the tubes 8. The tubes of a pair are connected at one end thereof by bend 9, the other ends being connected respectively to an inlet or outlet for heating or cooling fluid (e.g. oil or water). The housing is provided at its bottom and, if desired, at intermediate regions thereof with girders 13 which support the elements 12. The tubes 8 and fins 8a may be circular or rectangular; the perforations 14, circular or octagonal.
