Abstract

1459778 Tamperproof closure UNILEVER Ltd 21 Dec 1973 [28 Dec 1972] 59352/73 Heading B8T On an attempt being made to remove a closure from a container 25, the plastics material of a pouring part 1 will fracture around the root of an annular score 17 in a flange 14, thus providing a tamper indicator. A further indicator is provided by two hinged eyelets 7 on a closure cap 2 which is attached to the pouring part by a hinge 3, the eyelets being pressed on to conical lugs 21 on the pouring part such that the closure cap 2 can only be removed by either fracturing the lugs 21 or the eyelets 7.
