1338532 Tamperproof closures SOC DE CONDITIONNEMENT EN ALUMINIUM SCAL GP 28 April 1972 [29 April 1971] 19864/72 Heading B8T A metal tamperproof closure 1 has a screw threaded skirt portion joined along a weakened rupture line 7 to a guarantee ring 8 which has around it slots 12, the lower edges of which are inwardly displaced to form lips 13 which hook under a rim around the neck of the container as the closure is screwed on to it, so that the closure can only be removed by breaking the skirt 3 along the rupture line 7. In one embodiment the lips 13 are located with their upper edges along the rupture line 7. The screw threads 6 may be formed, after the closure has been placed on the container.
