145,882. Halliwell, F. L. April 2, 1919. Drum recording apparatus. - Straight-line machines for recording points in instruments such as barographs, thermographs and hygrographs. The pen is carried directly in the end of the arm b, the fulcrum of which is mounted on a frame c, pivoted at j so as to move substantially perpendicularly to the travel of the pen. The arm b is extended beyond the fulcrum and pivoted to a link f the other end of which is pivoted at a fixed point. The movement of the instrument is applied to an arm fast on the spindle to which the lever b is attached at d and which rocks on bearings in the frame c. In a modification the constraining link f and its pivot i may be arranged between the main fulcrum of the lever and the recording-point.
