Abstract
1458387 Protective arrangements LAUR KNUDSEN NORDISK ELEKTRICITETS SELSKAB AS 14 Dec 1973 [15 Dec 1972] 58096/73 Heading H2H An electrical circuit arrangement comprises a heating cable 7, having a conductor which is surrounded by a heat distributing and electrically insulating sheath, and a load connected in series and to a source of current, the sheath and the resistance of the conductor being such that, in the event of a short circuit in any part of the circuit arrangement other than the source of the conductor, the current which flows through the circuit arrangement does not exceed a predetermined value and the surface temperature of the sheath remains at a value which does not damage the circuit arrangement. The arrangement may also include a circuit breaking element, for example a fuse 9, and a cable 11 of normal construction.
