1457626 Wind protecting cooking utensil support PRIMUS-SIEVERT AB 15 March 1974 [16 March 1973] 11728/74 Heading A4D [Also in Division F4] A camp-stove type cooking apparatus comprises a burner 5, and at least three metal strips 4, which during the use of the apparatus stand on their edges, are supported on the top plate 1 of the cooking apparatus and extend inwardly from the periphery of the top plate meeting each other above the burner, the strips having straight upper edges lying in a common plane and lower edges which substantially follow the outline of the top plate and the burner. The straight upper edges, sealingly contacting the bottom of a cooking utensil, and a flange having slots 7 to receive lugs 8 provided on the strips, enclose the space between the bottom of the utensil and the top of the burner thereby preventing draught reaching the burner flames. A cooking apparatus comprising the utensil support 3, the hot plate 1 with an annular depression to collect boiled-over food, a carrying loop 2, and a valve housing 9, and which can be directly threaded on to a gas container is disclosed.
