145,731. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. Feb. 26, 1916, [Convention date]. Recoil apparatus.-Relates to centre-pivot foundation plates for field carriages, and consists in an arrangement wherein an are-shaped abutment H<3> for the trail spade is connected by two members G to a cross-head E pivoted on the centre pin D of a foundation plate B. The members G extend forwards of the pivot and are connected at their front ends by a bar g<2> which rests upon the guide b<3> for the wheels A of the gun carriage. The carriage merely rests upon the foundation plate, and is traversable thereon within the limits of the abutment H<3>, after which the trail is lifted off the abutment and the latter is swung about the pivot D into a new position in the direction in which further traverse is required.
