Abstract

1456919 Surface carburetters E HAASVOLKMANN 7 March 1974 [12 Feb 1974] 10167/74 Heading F1B Auxiliary mixture is supplied to the intake manifold 12 from a chamber 13 under the control of a valve 30 operated by a device 40 responsive to the pressure in the carburetter Venturi 3. The chamber 13 receives fuel under the control of a float-operated valve 17 and air passes through the fuel from a distributer 21. The device 40 is adjustably mounted by a bracket 36 and the force of the biasing spring 35 is adjustable by a nut 38. The chamber 13 provides all or part of the mixture required for engine idling and the carburetter idling screw 8 may partly or completely close the idling mixture orifice.
