Abstract
1456355 Electro-depositing micro-cracked chromium SOC CONTINENTALE PARKER 25 Sept 1975 [7 Oct 1974] 39383/75 Heading C7B Micro-cracked Cr (1000 to 2000 microcracks/ cm<SP>2</SP>) is electro-deposited, e.g. on to Ni plated steel or brass, ABS resin metallized by 'chemical Ni' on Pd catalyst thickened with Cu and Ni plate, or Zn die casting, from an aqueous acidic solution comprising: boric acid or (per) borate (as H 3 BO 3 ) 20 g/l to solubility limit, and a Se compound preferably SeO 2 13 to 50 mg/l, at a CD of 12 to 15 A/dm<SP>2</SP>.
