Abstract

1455581 Fat blend UNILEVER Ltd 17 Jan 1974 [18 Jan 1973] 2668/73 Heading C5C A fat blend for margarine comprises a palm based fat and a co-randomized mixture of a palm based fat and a non-palm based fat, the non-palm based fat predominantly consisting of C 44 and higher triglycerides (defined), 30-80 wt. per cent of the total fatty acid residues in the blend being derived from palm based fat, the blend having a PUP/PPU ratio (defined) <2À8 and the percentage Sa 3 content > than the percentage P 2 U content-8% (defined). The exemplified non-palm based fats are soya bean, safflower, sunflower, rapeseed, cottonseed, ground nut and rice bean oil and marine oils and their hydrogenated or fractionated derivatives.
