1455492 Electro-photography FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 24 April 1974 [24 April 1973] 18008/74 Heading G2H A photo-conductive member, consisting of a substrate and two powders of opposite charge, is imaged when one of the powders responds to light 20 by becoming electrically conductive so that the charge on it cancels and is cancelled by the other to form uncharged areas 21. The powder of the uncharged areas is then removed by an air blast. One of the powders may be electrically conductive and the other photo-conductive, or both may be photo-conductive, one having a higher sensitivity than the other. Three or more photoconductive powders may be used to form a coloured image. The developed image may be fixed by a solvent, or transferred to a copy member.
