Abstract
A method of developing a latent electrostatic image on a photoconductive member, comprising bringing said image into a developing configuration by means of a developer mixture that is useful for making latent electrostatic images visible on a photoconductive member comprising a mixture of: (a) approximately 0, 3 to 5.0% based on the weight of the mixture, of a finely divided pigmented resin toner whose particles have an average size in the range of about 5 to 30 microns; and (b) at least about 95%, based on the weight of the mixture, of carrier particles having an average size in the range of about 30 to 1,000 microns, capable of triboelectrifying said toner particles such that the toner it electrostatically adheres to the surfaces of the carrier particles, said carrier particles also having the particularity of an electrical conductivity over 10 to 90% of the total surface area of the carrier.
