Abstract

145,371. Stock, J. J. Jan. 27, 1920. Amusement apparatus.-Relates to apparatus of the type in which passengers sit in a circular car which is moved in an irregular and unexpected manner. According to the invention the car 1 is fitted with seats 8 and is mounted on two diametrically opposite wheels 13. It is also partly supported by castors 12. The wheels 13 are driven by an electromotor 11 through clutches and gearing 26, 37, so arranged that the operator, who is seated in a central well W, can, by means of levers 34, cause the wheels 13 to rotate in the same or in opposite directions, or either or both can be stopped. In this way a great variety of movements can be imparted to the car. In a modification the wheels 13 are driven by two separate reversing motors. Current for the motor 11 is obtained from a battery 10 or other source. A buffer 2 surrounds the ear 1.
