Springs, arrangement of.-In a spring suspension comprising longitudinal cantilever springs pivoted centrally to the chassis and connected at their ends by shackles to the chassis and driving axle respectively, a semi-elliptic transverse spring 6 is fixed centrally at 7 to the driving-axle and is connected at its ends to the chassis 3 by shackles 9. The spring 6 may be arranged to damp upward or downward shocks, or both.
