Abstract
1452605 Froth flotation ALLIED COLLOIDS Ltd 19 Feb 1974 [1 March 1973] 10030/73 Heading B2H [Also in Division C3] Cassiterite ore is concentrated by a froth flotation process in the presence of a collector and as a gangue depressant a water soluble polymer containing 40-100 mole% of acrylamide units and 0-60 mole% of units of acrylic or methacrylic acid or a salt thereof, the polymer having a molecular weight distribution such that a 10% solution in water at 25‹C and pH 7 has a Brookfield viscosity of 8-50,000 centipoises. The collector may be an aryl arsonic acid, aryl phosphonic acid or aryl succinamate.
