Abstract

1450832 Fencing FORNELLS SA 14 March 1974 [4 April 1973] 11482/74 Heading E1B [Also in Division F2] Rail members 12 of a fence are secured to spaced apart posts 1 by releasable self-locking engagement with connecting members 9 which are pivotally and adjustably mounted on positioning elements 6, which are adjustably mounted in key-ways 2 in the posts. Each connecting member 9 has a hole which is pivotally engaged by a spigot 7 on a corresponding positioning element 6 and a pair of arcuate slots, centred on said spigot, through which bolts 14 pass to engage threaded bores in positioning elements 6. Unused key-ways 2 and parts of the key-way between connecting elements are closed by cover strips 15. The fence is preferably made of plastics. The connecting elements may be short members contained within the width of a post or may be as long as the rails and thus reinforce the fence. A reflecting band may be secured to the front face of a rail strips having lugs self-lockingly engaging under-cut grooves in the front face of the rail. For Figure see next column
