Abstract

The baluster (1) has in its lower region three transverse holes (9, 12, 13) which are offset in its longitudinal direction. A steel plate (3), having rear-side anchorage means (4) and a threaded sleeve (6), belong to its attachment device. On the rear of the baluster (1) above its central hole (9), a piece (16) of angular steel which acts as a rocker is welded on in the transverse direction. Using the screw (10) the baluster (1) is temporarily attached and, using the two grub screws (14, 15), its position is adjusted, after which the screw (10) is tightened. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a railing post which is intended for mounting on the end face of a cantilevered base plate. Such floor slabs are usually made of concrete and form the floors of balconies, terraces, etc., sometimes also of flat roofs, which should be accessible.

The railing posts have so far been screwed to the base plate with at least two screws each. Holes can be drilled in the concrete to accommodate the fastening screws, which are then provided with dowels. However, a steel plate with at least two threaded holes can also be poured into the concrete. If the base plate consists of wooden beams, simple wood screws are also used to attach the railing posts. During assembly, special care must be taken to ensure that the posts of are perfectly aligned at the front as seen from the side. So far, this has been achieved by varying the inclination of the posts transversely to the direction of the parapet by using washers of different thicknesses and different numbers over the fastening screws between the posts and the plate. Once the post is plumb in this direction of inclination, any lateral inclination in the direction of the parapet must also be compensated for. Because the fastening screws have a slight play in the holes in the post, the post can be moved back and forth until it is also perpendicular in this lateral direction. The fastening screws are then tightened. All this plumbing makes the assembly of the railing posts according to the state of the art described above very time-consuming. For larger houses, especially those with balustrades that run all the way through the front, such as chalets, several dozen railing posts are required. The work involved in assembling them is therefore considerable and the costs are correspondingly high.

It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a railing post and a device for fastening it to the end face of a cantilevered base plate which, thanks to its type of fastening, is significantly simpler and faster and as stable as can be assembled using conventional methods.

The object is achieved by a railing post with a device for fastening it to the end face of a cantilevered base plate, which is characterized in that the railing post (1) is penetrated in its lower region by three offset transverse holes (9, 12, 13), the middle ( 9) has a screw (10) with head (11) striking the post (1), which is longer than the post thickness, that the two other holes (12, 13) are provided with threads, in each of which a pointed grub screw (14 , 15) and that the device for fastening the post (1) further comprises a steel plate (3) with a threaded hole or a threaded sleeve (6) for receiving the screw (10), which steel plate (3) is dimensioned at least so that the tips of the grub screws (14, 15) protruding slightly from the post (1) come to rest on the plate (3) when the post (1) is screwed onto it, and that the steel plate (3) anchoring means (4) or Assembly has holes.

Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings. These exemplary embodiments are described and explained below with the aid of these drawings.

Es zeigt:

  • Fig. 1: Den Geländerpfosten in montiertem Zustand von der Seite in einem Längsschnitt;
  • Fig. 2: Den montierten Geländerpfosten in einer Ansicht von vorne;
It shows:
  • Fig. 1: The railing post in the assembled state from the side in a longitudinal section;
  • Fig. 2: The assembled railing post in a view from the front;
  • Fig. 3: The railing post mounted on the corner of a floor slab in the floor plan.

The railing post 1 in Figure 1 is a square steel tube and is attached to the base plate 2 here. This floor slab 2 is a concrete slab here. During concreting, a steel plate 3 with anchoring means 4 was concreted into the base plate 2 by nailing the steel plate 3 to the formwork panel before concreting. After stripping, the front of the steel plate 3 now runs flush with that of the base plate. The anchoring means 4 are here flat steel welded to the steel plate 3 with forked ends 5, which transmit the tensile forces acting on the steel plate 3 to the base plate 2. The steel plate 3 is also provided with a threaded sleeve 6, which is welded onto the steel plate 3 on the back is. The internal thread or the threaded hole 7 of the sleeve 6 is aligned with a hole 8 in the steel plate 3. The post 1 is now penetrated by three transverse holes in its lower region. The middle hole 9 serves to receive the actual fastening screw 10, which fits into the thread of the sleeve 6. The screw 10 has a head 11 which has a hexagon socket. The other two cross holes 12, 13 are provided with internal threads and set screws 14, 15 with pointed ends are screwed into them. The grub screws 14, 15 have hexagon Allen keys of the same dimension as that of the central screw 10.

On the back of the railing post 1, an angle steel piece 16 is welded over the hole 9, which receives the screw 10. This angle steel piece 16 runs at right angles to the connecting line of the two holes 12, 13 and has a hole which is aligned with the hole 9 in the railing post 1. With its edge, which is formed by the angled tip, it acts as a rocker for the post 1 when resting on the steel plate 3, its edge forming the rocking axis.

For assembly, the guardrail post 1, the grub screws 14, 15 of which are screwed in as far as standard so that their tips protrude slightly from the post 1, by means of the fastening screw 10 temporarily attached to the steel plate 3 by only slightly tightening the screw 10.

The post then lies with the edge of the angle steel piece 16 on the steel plate 3. However, the tips of the grub screws 14, 15 do not yet touch the steel plate 3.

Now the inclination of the post in the direction of the railing parapet is compensated for by bringing it upright. To do this, the fitter can simply hold a spirit level on the side of the railing post with one hand, then align and hold it accordingly with the other hand. He can then put the spirit level down and tighten the screw 10 with his free hand. To do this, he advantageously uses an Allen key with a riddle. As the next step, the post 1 is made perpendicular in the direction transverse to the direction of the parapet.

For this purpose, the spirit level can be held on the post 1 again with one hand, while the corresponding grub screw is loosened with the other hand with the same Allen key and the other tightened. As soon as the post 1 is perfectly aligned in this direction, the screw 10 is definitely tightened. The Railing post 1 is now fully assembled. Installation is therefore quick, precise and can be carried out easily by a single fitter.

Figure 2 shows a view of the fully assembled railing post 1 from the front. The screw 10 has a countersunk head 11 so that it does not protrude from the post 1, as can already be seen in FIG. 1. It is shown here in FIG. 2 that the Allen screws of the three screws 10, 14, 15 are all of the same dimension and can therefore be tightened with just a single key.

If a railing post has to be attached to the outside of the corner of a base plate, additional problems arise.

How the invention solves this is shown in FIG. 3 on the basis of a floor plan, which represents such an assembled corner post 17.

Dieser Abstand entspricht dabei der Höhe des aufgeschweissten Winkelstahlstückes 16.Instead of the steel plate 3 described at the outset, a special mounting plate 18 is used here which fulfills the same task. It is angled and the one leg plate 19 has a hole for the fastening screw 10. A screw nut 20 is welded on the back, which receives the screw 10. With the other leg plate 21, the mounting plate 18 is screwed to another, so-called base plate 22, the for its part is provided with anchoring means 23 of the type already described at the beginning and was poured into the concrete. In the example shown, this base plate 22 is also angled and thus forms the corner of the base plate 2. The leg 19 of the mounting plate 18 need not be perfectly aligned, because the corner post 17 is in turn screwed to it by means of the fastening device according to the invention. The hole in the leg 19 is positioned such that the corner post 17 comes to lie at the same distance from the base plate 2 in both directions. This distance corresponds to the height of the welded-on angle steel piece 16.

The mounting plate 18 is fastened to the base plate 22 with simple screw connections, which for this purpose has threaded sleeves 24 welded on the back. Overall, the railing post according to the invention, with its new type of fastening, permits significantly easier and faster assembly. This type of fastening also ensures excellent post stability, also in the lateral direction, since the tips of the grub screw drill into the steel plate 3 or mounting plate 18.
