Abstract

1450532 Fastener driving tools HARTLEY ELECTROMOTIVE (LONDON) Ltd 15 Oct 1973 [1 Nov 1972] 50267/72 Heading B4C A tool for securing an electric cable 18 to a support by means of a tape 20 taken from a reel 16 and stapled at each end comprises a stapler 10 or other fastener driving device upon which is mounted the reel and a guide 14a, 14b for guiding the tape 15 as it.is withdrawn from the reel into the vicinity of the point where the fasteners are driven from the tool. As shown, plastics tape 15 is withdrawn from the reel 16 through a channel 14a and a locating wire 14b. When the end of the tape is secured by a staple and a length of tape withdrawn from the reel the second staple is then applied and the length severed by a cutting tool 27 which can be operated by a knob 24 independently of the staple operating handle 12 or operated by the handle 12 upon the second staple-inserting operation.
