Abstract

1449151 Watches SOC SUISSE POUR L'INDUSTRIE HORLOGERE MANAGEMENT SERVICES SA 19 June 1974 [12 July 1973] 33297/73 Heading G3T In a watch going train, the barrel 1-1 directly drives the third wheel 1-2 which in turn directly drives a centre seconds wheel 1-5, the conventional centre wheel being eliminated. The mainspring therefore unwinds more rapidly than usual but may be of lighter construction and as shown is coupled to a self-winding mechanism comprising a rotor 2-3, Fig. 2, which drives a loose pinion 2-4 via a leaf-spring 2-10 in one direction of oscillation only. The pinion drives barrel ratchet 2-2 via a single step-down wheel 2-5 and pinion 2-6. The barrel may be wound manually by stem 2-7 and intermediate wheel 2-9, the pinion 2-4 clicking idly under the spring. The centre seconds wheel 1-5 meshes with the pinion of escape wheel 1-9 and is coupled to seconds hand shaft 1-6. The minutes cannon carries a hand 1-13 and a frictionally fitted wheel 1-11 which is driven by a pinion 1-10 fixed on the third wheel shaft. Cannon pinion 1-12 drives motion work 1-14 and thus hour wheel 1-15 with its hand 1-16.
