1447971 Scaffolding joints BURTON, DELINGPOLE & CO Ltd 8 Nov 1973 [21 Sept 1972] 43682/72 Heading F2M [Also in Division E2] A clamping assembly for use in scaffolding comprises a one-piece forging 12 of rectangular form having a plain or ribbed surface 13 and a concavely shaped seating 24 for the reception of a ledger tube 10, a clamping jaw 19 being hinged to a lug 17 and for clamping engagement with the tube 10; the upper part 25 of the seating provides a locating surface for the underside of a putlog tube 11 which is located by arcuate ribs 15 and welded to the forging.
