[Also in Division F2] A clamp for joining pipe sections P consists of a pair of identical, resilient sheet metal members 10, 11 of substantially U- shaped cross-section each member having radially, outwardly extending flanges 14, 15 joined to the base of the U 'by a smooth curved portion, the curved flange portions of one member co-operating with the curved flange portions of the other member to form tapered notches with the apices thereof extending outwardly. The legs of the U are in abutting relation when the flanges are clamped in face contacting relation to form a stop. The flanges 12, 13 may be inclined inwardly toward one another.
