1446251 Band clamps H J BOOTHA 2 Jan 1974 [5 Jan 1973] 00020/74 Heading E2B A pipe clamp comprises a circular metal band 10 end portions of which provide outward radial flanges 18 and 20, the flanges being spaced apart when the clamp is open, a bracing member 12, 14 between each flange and the outer surface of the band, a bolt 16 passing through the flanges, a tongue 22 cut and pressed out of the band adjacent one end to define a slot and a second slot 24 adjacent the other end into which slot the tongue extends, each slot having an edge surface engageable with the bolt, the flange having the first slot being doubled back on itself around the bracing member 14 and the bolt passing through the flange 20 on both sides of the bracing member.
