Abstract
1446008 Switching systems for consuming devices ZAKLADY KONSTRUKCYJNOMECHANIZCYJNE PRZEMYSLU WEGLOWEGO 15 Aug 1973 [16 Aug 1972] 38616/73 Heading H2H A switching system comprises a main switch 13, a control arrangement connected in series with the main switch, the control arrangement including a coil 12 for applying a magnetic force to close the main switch and a capacitor 17 connected in parallel with the coil, and a manually operable member having a permanent magnet 8 which is movable to positions in which the magnet opens and closes the main switch. An external circuit, the current through which is controlled by operation of the switch 13, is connected to the free terminals of the switch 13 and a normally closed switch 2. The manually operable member is a push button switch having a normally open contact 1 and a normally closed contact 16. When the push button is operated, the contact 1 short circuits the coil 12, the contact 16 opens and the magnet 8 closes the switch 13. On release of the push button, the contact 16 closes and the contact 1 opens to energize the coil 12 via a bridge rectifier 14. The magnetic field of the coil 12 holds the switch 13 closed. If the switch 2 is opened or the current supply to the coil 12 is interrupted, the main switch 13 is opened.
