1445996 Seals for tanks with floating roofs GREENGATE INDUSTRIAL POLYMERS Ltd 31 Oct 1974 [2 Nov 1973] 50960/73 Heading E1T An annular seal 3 for a tank 1 of the floating roof type is made up from a series of blocks of resilient synthetic foam material which has an integral skin, a rectangular reinforcement 6 embedded therein and is releasably secured to the floating roof 2 by brackets 4, 5. The ends of the blocks may be chamfered and they are made solid or formed with a slot 8 and a longitudinal through-bore 7. The material employed may be polyurethane and the block has an integral abrasionresistant skin.
