Abstract

1444873 Feeding-bottles R G BORCHERS 14 Feb 1974 [23 March 1973] 6690/74 Heading F4U [Also in Division A5] A baby's drinking bottle holder comprises a container 1 moulded from relatively low density thermally insulating plastics material and having a cylindrical hole closed at one end, for gripping a bottle with the teat projecting from the open end 2, and a lid 4 moulded from thermally insulating plastics material, the container having a base surface 6 inclined relative to the axis of the hole, such that the distance of the open end 2 from the base is less then the distance of the closed end from the base. The container may be substantially cylindrical with the base surface 6 provided by spaced flanges 7. A further base surface may be provided perpendicular to the axis of the hole and near its closed end. The holder may be made of expanded polystyrene, and may have printed or embossed matter thereon. The open end of the hole 2 includes a ridge 3 which engages with the lid 4. During feeding of a baby (8), Fig. 2 (not shown), the base surface 6 is placed on a horizontal surface, so that the feed flows into the teat. In another embodiment the base surface 6 is formed as part of the side of the container, Fig. 3 (not shown).
