Abstract

1442264 Counters KIENZLE APPARATE GmbH 16 Jan 1974 [16 Jan 1973] 01958/74 Heading G4D A number wheel for a counter is formed in two parts joined together by asymmetrically arranged plugs and sockets 13, 7. One part 1 includes a flange 3 carrying the figures, a toothed part 4 driven by an input gearing or the transfer pinion from a preceding stage, a hub providing a centring bushing 5 and a bearing surface 6 and three sockets 7 at different distances from the axis of the wheel. Alternatively the sockets may be at the same radius but a different angular separation. The other part 2 has a transfer tooth 8, a zeroizing cam surface 10, a hub providing a bushing 11 engageable in bushing 5 to centre the parts and a second bearing surface 12, and three plugs 13 co-operating with the sockets. The plugs are surrounded by a groove 4 and locating surfaces 16 and are grooved to provide a star-shaped cross-section. The sockets are tapered 7a and have a sharp edge which cuts into the plugs to prevent withdrawal.
