Abstract

1371892 Mounting wheels &c. on shafts DRAADINDUSTRIE JONGE POERINK NV 26 Jan 1973 [27 Jan 1972 5 Oct 1972] 4192/73 Heading F2U A key 3 for mounting a hub 12 (e.g. of a wheel or pulley) on a shaft 1 with a keyway, comprises a lug 8 projecting radially outwardly from the key and resiliently connected thereto, the lug being depressable radially into the shaft keyway to allow the hub to be mounted. The key may be of plastics and the lug 8 may be connected to the key via a neck, the lug being allowed to depress either by the keyway being locally deepened, or by the base of the key being relieved at the lug. The lug 8 may have a chamfer to assist assembly and/or a depression (15), Fig. 3 (not shown) for a tool, to facilitate dismantling. The other end of the key may have another lug 7 which may or may not be depressable.
