Abstract

1284345 Dynamo-electric machine casings SIEMENS AG 16 Sept 1970 [17 Sept 1969] 44105/70 Heading H2A A cylindrical stator housing 1 closed by a disc-shaped bearing-plate 3, which interlocks with the housing, has a knife edge 7 which is deformed by the plate as it is engaged with the housing to compensate for axial tolerances. Alternatively the knife-edge may be carried by the end plate. As shown, the plate has a bead 5 which interlocks with a groove 4 in the housing. The plate also carries a centering spigot 9, both the spigot and the bead being chamfered to facilitate entrance into the housing.
