1441760 Setting-up collapsed boxes BENZ & HILGERS GmbH 13 Sept 1973 [23 Sept 1972] 43164/73 Heading B8C An apparatus for setting-up collapsed tubular boxes comprises slides (3), Fig. 2 (not shown), for displacing the foremost collapsed box from a stack, a reciprocable first suction bar 4 which is engageable with the side and end panels 2a, 2b of the displaced box for moving the box away from the stack, a fixed folding bar 9 for folding over the top closure flaps 2c, (2d), Fig. 3 (not shown), as the collapsed box is moved away from the stacks, a pivotal second suction bar 7 which is engageable with the other end panel 2e of the collapsed box and squares-up the box upon pivotal movement through 90 degrees relative to the first suction bar 4 after the suction between the bar 4 and the end panel 2b has been released, a vertically reciprocable folding plate 10 for folding-in inner top closure flaps 2c, (2g), Fig. 5 (not shown), of the squared-up box, and fixed folding bars (14), Fig. 7 (not shown), for folding-in outer top closure flaps (2d), Fig. 8 (not shown), 2h as the box us conveyed away. Pivotal folding members (13), Fig. 7 (not shown), fold back the bottom closure flaps of the box before the squared-up box is released by the suction bar 4 and deposited on conveyer guide rails.
