Abstract

1438936 Outlets to chimneys BRITISH GAS CORP 1 Aug 1973 [2 May 1972] 20325/72 Heading F4W An open-fronted flue-box 1 adapted to be connected to the back of a gas-fired appliance 21 and to a flue pipe 16, comprises a selfsupporting box structure having walls 2-5, 7 formed of a non-combustible material such as asbestos-cement sheeting. The walls 7 extend at 45 degrees to the walls 3 and 4 to enable the box to be disposed in the corner of a room. The front edges of the side walls 3 and top wall 5 lie in a common plane. The base wall 2 projects forwards of the plane. A foam plastics sealing tape 17 with adhesive on both faces is stuck to the front face of the frame. A sheet metal closure plate 18 having apertures 19 and 20 is pressed against the outer adhesive face of the tape 17. (For Figure see next page.)
