Abstract

1438254 Embossing fibreboard STATENS SKOGSINDUSTRIER AB 1 May 1974 [4 May 1973] 19072/74 Heading B6J [Also in Division B5] Heat-hardened, hard wood fibreboard having a moisture content of at least 6% by weight is embossed by pressing between plates having complementary raised and indented patterns. The board is pressed at a temperature of at least 150‹ C. to give a final moisture content of 0-3% by weight. Subsequently a plurality of boards so embossed may be stacked alternately with a plurality of plane, conditioned boards until all the boards have the same moisture content. The embossing plate used on the "good" side of the board may have a polished surface.
