Abstract

1437128 Valves TOUR AGENTURER AB 4 Sept 1973 [15 Dec 1972] 41432/73 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] A three-way mixing valve for a central heating system comprises an adjustment wheel mounted on a valve shaft 28, a thermostat 32 adjacent to the inlet pipe 12 of the system, valve members 34, 35, valve seating 40, 41 and a helical spring 42. The thermostat 32 includes a shaft 33 which moves upwardly, if the temperature of the inlet water rises and downwardly if the temperature falls. The member 34 is arranged to control the feed of water to a shunt pipe 13 and the member 35 to control the feed to the boiler inlet 17. The valve member 34 has double cups 341, 3411 combined together by an annular connecting part having openings 36. A dividing wall having apertures 37 is provided between the shunt pipe 13 and the valve interior. If controlled leakage through the valve is required, grooves may be provided in the valve seat 41.
