Abstract

1436119 Breakwaters, jetties, building blocks N D ELSOM 21 June 1973 [21 June 1972] 28978/72 Headings E1B and E1H A breakwater, jetty, seawall or the like is composed of a plurality of hollow blocks each having three arcuate walls defining a body of convex triangular cross-section. One edge of the block may be tapered to facilitate groundpenetration. The blocks may be stacked vertically to form columns which may be filled with local material or concrete. Piles may be driven to form guides for locating the blocks. The blocks may also be stacked in staggered relationship, each block contacting two or three blocks in the layer below.
