1436102 Generating combustion products under pressure; power plant NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 5 April 1973 [12 April 1972 18 April 1972(2) 9 Sept 1972] 53115/75 Divided out of 1435781 Headings F1G F1L and F1Q [Also in Division F4] Combustion gases produced by the combustion of solid, e.g. plastics, liquid or gaseous fuel e.g. L.P.G. or H2, with oxygen produced by the exothermic decomposition of H 2 O 2 , e.g. by a silver catalyst, in a combustion chamber 184 heat water in an evaporator 200 to produce steam which is fed to a power producing expander 208 and are fed to a power producing expander 194. The output shafts 196 and 210 may operate independently or be connected to a common output or co-operating outputs. The H 2 O 2 and fuel flow control valves 180 and 188 may be connected for conjoint adjustment. The combustion chamber 184 may be defined within a finned cylinder (214), Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), mounted within the evaporator vessel (218). Water pipes unit 162 are condensed, the CO 2 is separated and water from a reservoir 142 is pumped into the chamber 152. In a further embodiment, Fig. 2 water is pumped into the chamber 152 which is upstream of the chamber 88 containing the tubes 92. A motor 114 or 158 provides for operation of the water pumps at starting.
