Abstract

1435223 Radiological apparatus SIEMENS AG 26 July 1973 [27 July 1972] 35746/73 Heading H5R In an X-ray or gamma ray apparatus comprising a source of such radiation at least one component required to transmit the rays is made of cast resin, e.g. epoxy resin, reinforced with carbon fibres. The component can be a patient-supporting table, a housing for an image amplifier or spot-film device or a film cassette. In the case of a patient support this can be made of two sheets of the resin with a foam core between them. In Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown) the supports are respectively fixed and pivotable about axis (21).
