Abstract
1,069,586. Image intensifier tubes. CHIRANA PRAHA, NARODNI PODNIK. June 24, 1965 [June 26, 1964], No. 26829/65. Heading H1D. An X-ray image intensifier tube is mounted within an adjusting sleeve which has a layer of magnetically shielding material on its inner surface by use of an unhygroscopic material resistant against X-rays and which ensures a solid but elastic joint of the adjusting sleeve to the X-ray image intensifier tube. The adjustments necessary, e.g. the centring of the output screen with respect to the sleeve axis, and the positioning of the screen with respect to a reference plane provided on the sleeve are carried out in the normal way with screws, and the space between the tube envelope and sleeve is then filled with either (a) glass wool consolidated by polyester resin. (b) wool consolidated by a solution of cellon in chloroform, (c) polymerizing material which is subsequently, cured.
