Abstract

1434467 Prefabricated room units P A LITTLE 23 July 1974 [25 July 1973 8 May 1974] 32566/74 Heading E1A A prefabricated room unit comprises rectangular floor 11 and roof sections 10 which are each provided with longitudinal corrugations disposed between transverse beams such as 13 at its ends and are interconnected as by columns 12. The columns are connected to the middle ports of corresponding beams and adjacent room units are interconnected by bolted tension rods passing through aligned holes in the adjacent floor and roof sections, see Fig. 7 (not shown). The roof and floor sections are made of re-inforced concrete and have their beams cast integral therewith. The roof sections are provided with ducts such as 17-22 for supplying electric power services, air conditioning etc whilst the floor sections have ducts 28, 29 for water, gas, etc. For minor details mainly concerning service facilities provided the specification should be referred to.
