Abstract

143,435. Robley, F. W. Oct. 23, 1919. Current motors.-In water-wheel installations for streams, of the kind in which a water-wheel is supported by a float anchored in a stream by cables, the edges of the wheel blades m, Figs. 1 and 2, and the bottom of the floats c form a continuous curve from side to side of the installation. The shaft of the .water-wheel drives dynamos i through gearing. Cabins k may be provided to cover the dynamos and transmission mechanism. In a modification, two wheels a, Fig. 3, may 'be provided on each side of a central float c, the two wheels driving a common dynamo i.
