Abstract

143,407. Lyons, I. M. June 10, 1919. Joints and connexions.-A chill for a bed-post is constructed with a lug B which has a vertical slot B<1> and a socket B<4>; it may have also an horizontal recess B<3>. The bottom of the slot B<1> may be slotted as shown at B<2>; the rails C, which is of L-shaped section, being correspondingly cut away at C<4>, causing a wedging action when the parts are engaged. The socket B<4> of the chill is tapered and engages with the tongue C<1> formed by the bending of the rail C, as shown at C<3> and C<2>.
